Regression test suite Robert J. Simmons, June 2009 The current incarnation of the regression test suite is aimed at being run with MLton (with a higher cost of compliation, but a drastically reduced time for running the examples, which seems to make it worth it). The regression suite is designed to be run on the plparty.org web server, where the results from a nightly test can be observed at http://twelf.plparty.org/builds However, for most public code examples (and an archived and occasionally updated version of all Literate Twelf files on the wiki), the regression suite can be run locally. Various other old regression tests are floating around this directory; these should eventually be incorporated into an automatic process... == Method 1: Fully automatic run == The following works in any system with MLton: twelf$ make check The following only works on Linux, and supports the nightly build process: twelf$ cd TEST twelf/TEST$ ./regression.sh == Method 2: Build regression executable (MLton) == twelf$ cd TEST twelf/TEST$ mlton mlton-regression.cm twelf/TEST$ ./mlton-regression regression.txt twelf/TEST$ ./mlton-regression regression-public.txt twelf/TEST$ ./mlton-regression regression-crary.txt twelf/TEST$ ./mlton-regression regression-wiki.txt == Method 3: Run regression within SMLNJ == twelf$ cd TEST twelf/TEST$ sml Standard ML of New Jersey... - CM.make "../sources.cm"; - use "regression.sml"; - RegressionTest.process "regression.txt"; - RegressionTest.process "regression-public.txt"; - RegressionTest.process "regression-crary.txt"; - RegressionTest.process "regression-wiki.txt"; - RegressionTest.test "../examples/guide/sources.cfg"; - RegressionTest.testUnsafe "../examples/lp/test.cfg";
